Crystal Rose-Fricker Honored with the Breeders Cup Award from the TBA

Crystal Rose-Fricker, President of Pure Seed and Pure-Seed Testing, has been recognized as the 14th recipient of the Breeders Cup Award by the Turfgrass Breeders Association (TBA), marking a significant achievement in turfgrass science. This rare and distinguished honor celebrates both the breeder and the cultivar, recognizing originality and excellence in turfgrass innovation.

The award specifically highlights Fricker’s work on Pure Dynasty, a blend of elite seeded paspalum varieties developed under her leadership. Known for its adaptability and performance in challenging environments, Pure Dynasty has become a benchmark in turfgrass breeding. The TBA’s Breeders Cup Award is not given annually, making this recognition all the more significant. Only 13 breeders have previously received the award, placing Fricker in an elite circle of scientists whose work has reshaped the global turfgrass landscape.
