Estelle perennial ryegrass was developed by Pure-Seed Testing, Inc., and was bred and selected based on its outstanding performance and disease and wear tolerance. Estelle was selected out of Brightstar SLT, which endured salt baths in the greenhouse at levels reaching 17,000 ppm. Estelle also has excellent overall disease resistance, including moderate resistance to gray leaf spot. Estelle has displayed good traffic tolerance, a beautiful dark green color, and excellent density at all mowing heights.
