Elise
Elise orchardgrass was originally selected for improved forage production, late maturity, seed production, stripe rust resistance, and drought tolerance. Elise is a stable and uniform variety. Elise is a late-maturing orchardgrass with exceptional winter growth. Its maturity date is about two weeks later than Elsie, and three weeks later than Potomac's. It is a very high-yielding variety that has great regrowth potential. The variety has shown improved resistance to winter disease, purple eye spots, leaf scald, and leaf rust.
